An album released in 1955 by La Vergne Smith, a pianist from New Orleans who began her career in the 1940s and gained significant attention for her vocal performances, which she initially started as a side endeavor. The album features live recordings from a performance at The (Old) Absinthe House, a French Quarter bar in New Orleans that still exists today. The combination of softly played piano with a rustic touch and her husky, whisper-like vocals is endlessly captivating. Highly recommended throughout. This is probably a Spanish reissue by Fresh Sound.
