New Jazz Ensemble
Burning Flowers…
Bellaphon (Germany) 1975
BLPS 19222 (LP) Coated gatefold sleeve.
sleeve : EX-(light color-faded.)
media : EX-/EX-(some slightly noise. some slightly hairlines that does not affect to sounds.)

The only album recorded in 1975 by the one-off group New Jazz Ensemble, bringing together musicians active on the European jazz scene, including Herbert Joos (tp, fh, ob, perc), Michael Sell (tp, fh), Heiner Wiberny (ft, as, bs, b-cl), Bernd Konrad (ft, ss, b-cl), Paul Schwarz (ft, p), Jacek Bednarek (b), Adelhard Roidinger (b), and Thomas Cremer (ds). The album was recorded at Tonstudio Bauer in Ludwigsburg, Germany, a studio renowned for countless ECM releases. From the long-form deep jazz of track A2, where flute, muted trumpet, and percussion drift through a soundscape shrouded in dense mist, to the album as a whole, it delivers outstanding performances that vividly capture the cutting-edge spirit of European contemporary jazz of the era. A true masterpiece, highly recommended for fans of ECM.
