An album released in 1971 under the name "Phil Woods and his European Rhythm Machine," featuring American saxophonist Phil Woods, who had been active on the front lines since the 1950s and showcased his talent in numerous groups, including those led by Dizzy Gillespie, Friedrich Gulda, and Gil Evans. Woods formed the group with top European musicians: Gordon Beck (piano, etc.), Henri Texier (bass, etc.), and Daniel Humair (drums, percussion). The album is a masterpiece, an unconventional work that maintains a consistent groove throughout, despite its avant-garde/free jazz nature. The funky development on side B is especially outstanding. This is a promotional copy of Japanese pressing.
