This album, released in 1980, features American pianist Steve Kuhn, who has been active since the early 1960s and has left many masterpieces on ECM, alongside American vocalist Sheila Jordan, who has also been active since the 1960s. The lineup includes Harvie Swartz on bass and Bob Moses on drums. Throughout the album, each instrument carefully places its melodies with restrained tension, while Sheila Jordan’s delicate yet distinctive voice elegantly dances over the music. Among the tracks, A3 and B1 stand out as particularly exceptional, with Steve Kuhn’s piano soaring melodically, intensifying emotions as the music progresses through time.
