The Durutti Column
Tomorrow
Factory Benelux (Belgium) 1985
fbn 51 (12")
sleeve : NM
media : EX+/EX+(some slightly noise.)
A 12-inch single cut from Circuses and Bread, the 1986 album by The Durutti Column, the Manchester group founded by Anthony H. Wilson and Alan Erasmus, which soon became the solo project of Vini Reilly. Backed by a simple arrangement of sensitive melodies on clean-toned electric guitar and atmospheric tenor saxophone, Vini Reilly delivers an unadorned yet tender vocal performance, resulting in a track steeped in The Durutti Column’s signature neo-acoustic atmosphere. Side B features a live version of the same piece, first performed at a concert held in Tokyo in 1985, along with a beautiful ambient track of floating textures built from guitar and violin.
A1: Tomorrow
B1: Tomorrow (Live version)
