An album released in 1958 by American tenor saxophonist Benny Golson, who was instrumental in leading the bebop/hard bop era. This Riverside release features a sextet comprising Kenny Dorham (tp), J.J. Johnson (tb), Wynton Kelly (p), Paul Chambers (b), and Max Roach (ds), all virtuosos in their own right. The album contains recordings from a 1957 studio session in New York City. Golson's compositions are performed alongside standard numbers with a consistently relaxed atmosphere. The album was reissued in Japan in 1992 as part of Victor's "Analog Selection: Riverside Edition" series.
