An album released in 1983 by the tenor saxophonist Benny Golson, who played a leading role in the bebop/hard bop era. Following his previous collaboration with Curtis Fuller on "California Message," this album was produced under the supervision of Noboru Kinzaki as a Japan-exclusive release. Recorded in 1982 at Van Gelder Studio in New York, the album features renowned musicians such as Freddie Hubbard (trumpet, flugelhorn), Woody Shaw (trumpet), Kenny Barron (piano), Cecil McBee (bass), and Ben Riley (drums). It showcases straightforward bop performances, including the impressive theme and solos on A1, which connect Golson, Hubbard, and Shaw, but the highlight is the atmospheric track A2, which presents a beautifully melodic ensemble with a laid-back vibe.
