German Berlin-based composer and synthesist Bernd Kistenmacher, who has been consistently releasing works from the mid-1980s to the present, released his second album in 1987 on his own private label, Cosmic Sound Production. The album features three tracks of mind-bending pure electronic music that faithfully carry on the legacy of Kraut-electronics, as represented by Tangerine Dream and Sky Records releases. On A1, arpeggiated synths with a wet, minimalistic refraining texture scatter across the stereo field with a rich sense of reverberation, creating a three-dimensional sonic landscape. On B1, deeply resonant pad synths echo with a majestic, solemn tone. Both A1 and B1 are extended space trips, each exceeding 20 minutes in length—true deep electronic music in the tradition of the Berlin School.
A1: Cassandra's Dance
B1: Beruhrung
