This is the collaborative album released in 1983 by pianist Chick Corea and vibraphonist Gary Burton, following their series of performances together since "Crystal Silence" in 1973, "Duet" in 1979, and "In Concert, Zurich, October 28, 1979" in 1980. Titled as such, it's a lyrical suite featuring a sextet of the two instrumentalists along with two violinists, a violist, and a cellist, incorporating contemporary music idioms into jazz. Led by Chick Corea, who is also the composer of this work, it ventures through waltzes, free improvisations, Brazilian rhythms, and various other facets, creating a unique world of chamber music-infused contemporary jazz, distinct from classical music yet equally innovative.
