This is a leader album released in 1985 by Dave Holland, an British bassist who has participated in many ECM sessions and has many leader albums to his credit. The quintet features Steve Coleman (as,ss,fl), Julian Priester (tb), Marvin "Smitty" Smith (ds,perc), Kenny Wheeler (tp etc). This is an excellent collection of aggressively improvised experimental jazz throughout. The ethnic jazz B2 with Dave Holland's minimalist bass and Latin percussion grooves coolly is especially good. Highly recommended.
