This album was released in 1966 by Denny Zeitlin, a psychiatrist and pianist from Chicago, U.S.A. It was recorded live at a concert at The Trident. The trio consists of bassist Charlie Haden, who worked with Ornette Coleman and Don Cherry for many years, and drummer Jerry Granelli, who co-wrote the hidden masterpiece "Sound Songs" with Jay Clayton in 1986. The trio featured Zeitlin's original score as well as classic tunes by Sonny Rollins, Ornette Coleman, Cole Poter, and others, and performed with a light and beautiful ensemble from start to finish. Zeitlin's solo piano pieces are also excellent.
