An album released in 1974 that captures a live recording of a performance by the trio of South African pianist Dollar Brand, American trumpeter Don Cherry, and Panamanian saxophonist Carlos Ward at the renowned club Jazz-House Montmartre in Copenhagen, Denmark, in 1972. Focusing on original compositions by Cherry and Brand, the trio also emotionally performs arrangements of traditional South African songs. The way the individual originality of each musician surfaces and blends together is remarkable, making this a valuable recording. The final track, B5, is particularly moving as it features a composition by Victor Ndilzwana, arranged by Brand, with all three musicians singing triumphantly. Highly recommended. This is the original Japanese pressing, and no other analog releases exist.
