This album features recordings made in 1965 at Pye Studios in London, England, by Dollar Brand, a South African jazz pianist and composer who has been active since the 1960s and is known for numerous masterpieces themed around Africa. The album focuses on Brand's original scores and includes medleys of Duke Ellington's classics such as "Mood Indigo" and "Don’t Get Around Much Anymore," as well as Billy Strayhorn's jazz classic "Take The ‘A’ Train." The entire album showcases Brand's elegant and dynamic piano solos. This is a Dutch edition with an unknown release year.
