Duke Jordan, an American pianist who honed his skills under the mentorship of Coleman Hawkins, Charlie Parker, and Art Tatum, and went on to contribute to the jazz scene alongside Sonny Stitt and Stan Getz in the 1950s and beyond, released a masterpiece album in 1970 on the high-quality Danish jazz label SteepleChase. Accompanied by drummer Ed Thigpen, he traveled to Copenhagen to record with Danish bassist Mads Vinding as a trio, capturing the essence of their collaboration on this album. Throughout the recording, Jordan's piano work shines with a serene atmosphere, weaving lyrical melodies under the Nordic skies, showcasing his remarkable talent. This second pressing, released in the same year as the original Danish pressing with a change in label design, continues to exemplify the excellence of this album.
