An album released in 1978 by American pianist Duke Jordan, a master who honed his skills under Coleman Hawkins, Charlie Parker, and Art Farmer, and who illuminated the jazz scene from the 1950s onwards alongside Sonny Stitt and Stan Getz. Released by Denmark's high-quality jazz label SteepleChase, this album features a quartet with renowned musicians Art Farmer (flugelhorn), David Friesen (bass), and Philly Joe Jones (drums), performing all original scores composed by Jordan. The combination of Jordan's piano, which plays melodies with a bright and elegant touch, and Farmer's warm flugelhorn is superb. This work offers the enjoyment of sophisticated jazz, progressing with a relaxed and moody atmosphere throughout.
