An album released in 1977 by the Ensemble Nipponia, which was formed in 1964 by composers Minoru Miki and Katsutoshi Nagasawa. The ensemble seeks new possibilities for contemporary Japanese music and has been actively performing both domestically and internationally. The album features arrangements of works by J.S. Bach and Claude Debussy for traditional Japanese instruments, as well as Japanese folk songs and Minoru Miki's signature piece "Paraphrase on Ancient Dances," composed in 1966 at the request of NHK. The high-quality recording utilizes the "Dyna Sound 45" technique, featuring 76 cm/s master tape, 45 rpm cutting, and direct plating type II.
