An American saxophonist, Frank Morgan, who had been active since the early 1950s alongside Teddy Charles, Kenny Clark, and Wardell Gray, released his debut leader album in 1955, organized by Gene Norman, who was known for his work as a concert promoter and DJ. The album features Wardell Gray (tenor saxophone), Wild Bill Davis (organ), Conte Candoli (trumpet), Howard Roberts (guitar), Carl Perkins (piano), Leroy Vinegar (bass), and Lawrence Marable (drums), with the addition of Machito’s Rhythm Section, led by the Afro-Cuban master Machito. The highlight of this album is undoubtedly the Latin jazz numbers featuring Machito’s Rhythm Section on percussion, with Davis's organ adding a superb groove. This album was reissued on the Spanish label Fresh Sound in 1987.
