A project by the German guitarist Friedemann Witecka, who also participated in Lenny Mac Dowell's "Flexible," this album was released in 1987 under the name Friedemann. Featuring delicate and beautiful high-pitched cutting guitars backed by minimal percussion beats, track A2 builds up emotionally with trumpets and keyboards, reminiscent of ascension. Track B5, with its contrasting wet-textured guitars and nostalgic melodies played by synthesizers, stands out. Reminiscent of the excellent technical skills and refined sensibilities of Martin Kolbe+Ralf Illenberger and Steve Tibbetts, this hidden gem of New Age Jazz is filled with beautifully poignant lyricism. Original German pressing.
