This is a 1971 double album release by Hungarian guitarist Gabor Szabo, known for his unique style that blends jazz, rock, and folk music, and for his collaborations with Chico Hamilton, Cal Tjader, and Gary McFarland. It’s a compilation of tracks selected from albums released between 1966 and 1970, showcasing Szabo's signature gypsy-style guitar playing melodies with a psychedelic and genre-defying sound. A standout is track D5, a live recording from the 1967 Monterey Jazz Festival, where he performs the title track from his 1966 classic album Spellbinder. Highly recommended throughout.
