This is an album released in 1973 by George Crumb, an American contemporary composer who has devoted himself to music education for many years as a university professor. Known for his development of extended techniques and research on timbre, Crumb's work represents the second installment of the Macrocosmos series, which portrays the cosmos through amplified piano. Pianist Robert Miller performs on this album. It consists of 12 tracks, each inspired by one of the 11 constellations, starting from "Genesis" and including "Sagittarius," "Pisces," "Gemini," and "Virgo." The experimental and imaginative style, utilizing prepared piano techniques, is outstanding. The piano sound on A1 is heavily modified, enhancing the auditory and visual effects for the listener.

A1: Morning Music (Genesis II) - Cancer
A5: Ghost-Nocturne: for the Druids of Stonehenge (Night-Spell II) - Virgo
