An album released in 1973 by Canadian pianist Gil Evans, who once played a pivotal role in Miles Davis's orchestra and later gained fame as a leading figure in jazz orchestras with his own group. The recording sessions took place at New York's Trinity Church and Philharmonic Hall, featuring a total of 15 musicians, including Hannibal Marvin Peterson (tp), Billy Harper (ts, ft), Dave Sanborn (as), and Bruce Ditmas (ds). Highlights include a cosmic soul jazz piece composed by Billy Harper, where David Horowitz's synthesizer and Joseph Daley's tuba dance wildly, showcasing Evans's true essence in jazz orchestra works. Obi and insert are not included.
