Harold Alexander’s third and final album, released in 1974. Active only for a relatively brief period from the late 1960s to the mid-1970s, the American saxophonist also played with Pucho & His Latin Soul Brothers and Leon Thomas’ group. Centered around a quartet with Joe Bonner on piano, Richard Davis on bass, and Brian Breaks on drums, the album also features Richard Clay, George Cables, Dennis Heaven, Lenny White and others. A true classic, delivering deeply spiritual yet groove-heavy soul jazz / jazz-funk, richly infused with elements of soul, blues, R&B and Latin flavors. A masterpiece among masterpieces of its kind. Original US pressing.
