An obscure piece has just come in. Released in 1988 on a label operated by the UK public broadcaster BBC, this album features music created for the documentary TV series Discoveries Underwater. The score is by Howard J. Davidson, a composer responsible for numerous soundtracks for BBC television productions. Built largely around digital synthesizers, the music unfolds as a continuous electronic soundscape inspired by the program’s central theme—the deep sea. Immersive, atmospheric, and gently futuristic throughout, it strongly recalls the iconic soundtrack composed by Eric Serra for Le Grand Bleu, directed by Luc Besson. Highly recommended.

This is a deadstock, previously unplayed copy; the shrink wrap was opened in-store solely for condition checking. Please note that there is a brief, light crackle noise a few times at the first part of track A1 and A2.

A1: B’ Breath
A2: Panarea
A3: No One Shall Enter The Ship
