An album by American guitarist Jim Hall, who had a long and distinguished career from the bebop era of the 1950s, released in 1977. Recorded during his 1976 visit to Japan with Don Thompson (bass, piano) and Terry Clarke (drums), this limited-edition album features a direct-to-disc session at King Records' studio. The album showcases cool jazz with the delicate melodies of an electro-acoustic guitar gently floating through the air. The standout track is Kyoto Bells (B2), which begins with a serene introduction, gradually builds tension, and evolves into a deeply psychedelic experience in the second half.
A2: Echo
B2: Kyoyo Bells
