Jazz Minus One Vol-9
Tam (Japan) 1978
YX-6118 (LP) w/booklet (some dirts, color-faded.)
sleeve : VG+(some dirts, light color-faded.)
media : EX/EX(some slightly noises.)

This album, released in 1978 as the 9th installment of the JMO (Jazz Minus One) series, was supervised by Katsu Imada (piano) and featured talented Japanese jazz musicians such as Seiichi Nakamura (ts, cl), Nobuyoshi Ino (b), Tadanori Konokawa (tb), Hiroshi Murakami (ds), Yuji Imamura (perc), and Yoshishi Sugimoto (g). The theme of this album revolves around "vocals," covering standards and bossa nova among other styles, presenting a moody and lounge-like atmosphere with arrangements featuring a soft touch and smooth performances. While Imada's piano is outstanding, the drums by Murakami and guitar by Sugimoto also captivate the ears. A 12-page booklet containing sheet music for all tracks is included with the album.
