An album released in 1978 by American singer Joe Lee Wilson, known for his outstanding vocals on a number of Archie Shepp’s 1970s works such as Attica Blues and The Cry of My People, as well as on Charles Greenlee’s superb 1977 Baystate release I Know About the Life. The material was originally scheduled to be released in 1970 on Columbia under the title Hey Look at You, though this later issue features two tracks substituted from the original master. A total of fourteen jazz musicians participate in the session, including Kenny Burrell, Kenny Barron, and Rashid Ali. A truly wonderful album in which Wilson delivers jazz and R&B classics with excellent performances throughout, fully showcasing his distinctive and expressive vocal style.
