This album, released in 1977, features Norwegian singer Karin Krog—known for her stunning vocals in duets with Archie Shepp on "Hi-Fly" and on John Surman’s 1983 ECM album "Such Winters of Memory"—in collaboration with Swedish composer and pianist Nils Lindberg, who had been a prominent figure since the 1950s. Subtitled "The Malmo Sessions," the album was recorded in Malmö, the southernmost city in Sweden, and features a collection of recordings from sessions that brought together renowned Nordic musicians such as Allan Botschinsky (trumpet), Bernt Rosengren (reeds), Ole Molin (guitar), Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen (bass), and Ole Streenberg (drums). The album includes a variety of tracks, from American jazz standards and Bossa Nova compositions by Antonio Carlos Jobim to original scores by Lindberg, all performed with a rich, moody atmosphere. Krog’s husky voice remains as captivating as ever, adding to the album's sophisticated jazz vocal charm.
