Released in 1978, this album is by Canadian trumpeter Kenny Wheeler, who appeared on numerous ECM recordings, including those by Azimuth. Wheeler leads a sextet featuring Jan Garbarek on tenor and soprano saxophones, John Abercrombie and Ralph Towner on guitar, Dave Holland on bass, and Jack DeJohnette on drums—all musicians closely associated with ECM. Gentle sounds drift weightlessly through the music like a veil of thin mist, unfolding with beautifully modulated dynamics and a deeply spiritual atmosphere.
