A 1976 leader album by the Japanese tenor saxophonist Kohsuke Mine, who gained recognition after joining Masabumi Kikuchi's group in 1969 and releasing his first leader work on Three Blind Mice in 1970. Since then, he has been active in various groups and continued to release albums under his own name. This album features a quartet with Masabumi Kikuchi (p), Tsutomu Okada (b), and Motohiko Hino (ds). Tracks A1 and B1 were recorded in a Tokyo studio in 1974, while track A2 was recorded live at Iino Hall in Tokyo, also in 1974. The session showcases Mine's energetic saxophone, deeply influenced by the spirit of John Coltrane, with Kikuchi's flowing piano beautifully complementing it. It's a fantastic session that inherits Coltrane's spirit. The album is a classic in Japanese modal jazz. The spiritual ballad A2, reminiscent of "Naima," is also outstanding.
A1: Recollection
A2: Little Abi
B1: Cross Wind
