American guitarist Linc Chamberland, who debuted in the early 1960s as a member of the beat band The Orchids and later worked with artists like Dave Liebman and David Friesen in the 1970s, released his first solo album in 1977. The album features Dave Liebman (tenor and soprano saxophones), Lyn Christie (bass), and Bob Leonard (drums). Despite not having a prominent career or receiving much attention, Chamberland showcases exceptional imagination and technique throughout the album, delivering impressive phrasing and solos solely with a Gibson semi-acoustic guitar. Highly recommended. Give it a listen.
