JAPO (Germany) 1976
JAPO 60 011 (LP)
sleeve : EX-(SOC, wear on some edge and corner.)
media : EX+/EX(B3 has one very slightly hairline that does not affect to sounds.)

This was introduced on 1st. edition of “obscure sound” guidebook. This great album was recorded in 1974 by Magog, a German jazz sextet featuring Hans Kennel (tp,fl-h,perc), Andy Scherrer (ss,ts,fl,perc), Paul Haag (tb,perc), Klaus Koenig (p,el-p,perc), Peter Frei (b) and Peter Schmidlin (dr,perc). Features A1, a jazz dancer based on a classical jazz style but keeping a contemporary groove, B3, with its earthy samba rhythm and warm melody of a New Orleans-like horn section, and other progressive and free-form spiritual jazz. The most noteworthy track is B2, which has a strong trippy introduction as if you are suddenly sucked into a wormhole from a jungle, and then it plunges into inner-mind modal jazz. This is a psychedelic jazz piece that is a return to nature, similar to Edward Vesala's masterpiece "Nan Madol" also released on JAPO. Original German pressing.

A1: Lock
B2: Summervogel
