This is a double album released in 1988 by the German pianist Matthias Frey, known for his exceptional works with an ethnic and psychedelic sensibility since the late 1970s. It features a trio ensemble with his longtime collaborator, cellist Wolfgang Tiepold, and percussionist Christoph Harber, who have also released joint works with Frey in the past. The album maintains the dynamic and energetic acoustic piano style that has been consistently expressed in Frey's previous works, accompanied by the graceful cello and primitive percussion. Additionally, this album introduces bright synthesizer sounds on a large scale, resulting in a style that is even more infused with a sense of New Age. Frey's works never disappoint, and this album comes highly recommended.
