This is the trio album released in 1985 featuring the outstanding pianist Piero Bassini, who also collaborated with Luis Agudo on "In The Shadows," along with drummer Giampiero Prina, and guitarist Attilio Zanchi, a member of Aktuala, known for their Italian psychedelic ethno-jazz masterpiece "La Terra," which is also featured on this album. At first glance, one might expect straightforward modal jazz, but the album surprises with a crossover approach that incorporates Latin vibes reminiscent of Chick Corea's "Return to Forever," drawing listeners in with its captivating performances. Bassini's storm-like interplay is particularly noteworthy. Highly recommended.
