Orchestre Veve
Orchestre Veve African (France) 1977
360 106 (LP) coated sleeve.
sleeve : EX-(some slightly dirts.)
media : EX/EX(some slightly noise.)
This is a 1977 release by Orchestre Veve, a group from the Congo (Zaire) in Central Africa, led by Gerorges 'Vercky's Kiamuangana, a member of Franco & O.K. Jazz and a producer who has worked with many artists. This is a nice rumba congolese song with light rhythms, bright horn section, flowing repetitive melody played by electric guitar with a wet touch, and unique wavering vocals/chorus that will make your body sway. The lyrics are said to have a strong message, but the best thing about African music is that the sound is so bright.
A1: Baluti
B1: Mikolo Mileki Mingi 1 & 2
