The sole album by Ose, the solo project of French multi-instrumentalist Hervé Picart, who was also active as a music journalist. With full backing from Richard Pinhas of Heldon—one of the key figures in French electronics and avant-garde—the record delivers a striking soundscape built from banks of analog synthesizers (Moog, ARP, Oberheim) and soaring electric guitar lines from both players, conjuring a vivid, quasi-cosmic space. While the tonal palette and structural flow recall Heldon, the atmosphere here is less deranged, instead unfolding in a more fantastical and dreamlike dimension. Track B1, when played at 45 RPM, mutates into an even wilder strain of cosmic electronics.
