This album was featured in the guidebook OBSCURE SOUND REVISED EDITION. It's the 7th album, released in 1987, by the pioneering Polish avant-folk collective Osjan (formerly Ossian), known for their uncharted ethno-psychedelia. As their final release on vinyl, this work showcases not only Osjan’s signature spiritual tracks laced with taut tension, but also includes standout pieces like the earthy, floating ethno-jazz of track A2—featuring vibraphone and richly textured vocals/chorus—and the explosive percussion-driven groove of track B1, which irresistibly calls to mind Boredoms. A masterpiece that marks the evolution of Osjan’s sound—rooted in tradition yet sophisticated in execution. Naturally, it's a live recording. The jacket design is also fantastic. Highly, highly recommended.
