A masterpiece of electronic music released in 1971 by Paul Bley, one of Canada’s leading jazz pianists, who has been active since the 1950s. He has participated in groups such as the Ornette Coleman Quartet and the Jazz Composer's Orchestra, and left numerous masterpieces with his own group. This album was created using the Arp Synthesizer extensively. Steve Haas (dr), Dick Youngstein (b), Glenn Moore (b), Frank Tusa (b), and Bob Moses (dr) each participate in different tracks, and the entire album features compositions by Annette Peacock. The soundscape, with its retro and spacey qualities, is unique, ranging from spiritual deep jazz in a simple arrangement to strange, groove-filled jazz funk, all driven by the pure, fat electronic tones of the Arp Synthesizer. In the same year, he also released a masterpiece of electronic music in collaboration with Gary Peacock, which shares a similar concept, and this one is just as outstanding. Highly recommended. Original US pressing.
