Powaqqatsi (Original Soundtrack)
Elektra Nonesuch (US) 1988

media : NM-/NM-(some very slightly surface noises, still fine.)

This was featured in the 1st edition of the guidebook "obscure sound". This is the original soundtrack album of the documentary film "Powaqqatsi - Life in Transformation" directed by Francis Ford Coppola, with music by Philip Glass, a contemporary musician from Baltimore, USA. The album features A1, with its primitive percussion rhythms and horn ensemble and children's lively chorus, B4, with its shimmering contrast between the hard sound of metallic percussion and elegant strings, and other magnificent music that evokes the beauty of nature. A wonderful work. It's a total concept visual music that goes well beyond a soundtrack. This is a beautiful copy of original US pressing with DMM specs.

A1: Serra Pelada
B4: New Cities in Ancient Lands, India
