This 1981 leader album by jazz pianist Richard Beirach, a New York native who has not only released many works on ECM but also frequently collaborated with Japanese artists such as Masahiko Togashi and Terumasa Hino. The album is dedicated to Bill Evans, who passed away the previous year, and features a trio with George Mraz (bass) and Al Foster (drums). It includes compositions by Miles Davis, Dave Brubeck, and pieces co-written by Evans and Davis. Highlights include the lyrical rendition of 'Blue in Green,' performed on Miles Davis's historic masterpiece Kind of Blue, on track A2, and the performance of a piece from Evans's 1958 album Everybody Digs Bill Evans on track B2. This masterpiece showcases Beirach's elegant playing. The original release is a Japanese pressing.

A2: Blue in Green

B2: Peace Piece
