An original soundtrack album for the French film La Balance, featuring music composed by French keyboardist Roland Bocquet. Bocquet was a member of the progressive rock group Catharsis, known for releasing outstanding library music through RCA Media. He also left behind the 1977 masterpiece Paradia, which was featured in the first edition of guidebook Obscure Sound. While the film itself appears to be a hard-boiled buddy movie, the soundtrack offers a diverse listening experience. It includes new wave-inspired tracks like A1, where danceable rhythms intertwine with hard-edged guitar and raspy female vocals, as well as progressive rock pieces that unfold symphonically with melancholic synth sounds. The entire album is enjoyable from start to finish, but the highly recommended highlights are A4 and B4—Arabian music-infused tracks brimming with an exotic atmosphere.

A4: A Ddunit Iw
B4: Ettes Ettes
