This album was released in 1977 by Susumu Miyashita, a thirty-string koto player who has left behind radical works that transcend the boundaries of classical music as a composer of modern koto music. It was released from Victor's "Sound Grand Prix Series". Side A is a lively performance with Tsugaru shamisen player Yujiro Takahashi, with a wonderful contrast between the extremely rhythmic melody of the shamisen and the fine and beautiful melody of the thirty-stringed koto. Side B is an improvised performance by the thirteen and thirty strings, with a dramatic development from a serene landscape description in the introduction to a rising tension in the latter half of the piece. Like "Seki" for 30 strings and percussion" released the following year, this masterpiece presents an avant-garde design that defies categorization as Japanese music. The direct cutting sound quality is superb. Highly recommended.

A: 三十絃と津軽三味線の為の<RITSU>
