An album released in 1977 by The Tuba Trio, consisting of Joe Daley (tuba, bass, percussion), Sam Rivers (tenor sax, flute, soprano sax, piano, vocals), and Warren Smith (drums, percussion). This is the first volume featuring recordings from a live performance at the Bim Huis in Amsterdam, Netherlands, in 1976. Side A includes one solo track each by Rivers on saxophone, Daley on tuba, and Smith on drums/percussion, as well as one session track by the trio. Side B features a 21-minute interplay of primitive drums/percussion, earthy flute, and the warm tones of the tuba. The groovy exchanges towards the end are exceptional. A classic album.
