Original soundtrack album for the film Burning Autumn, written by Hiroyuki Itsuki and directed by Masaki Kobayashi, with music by Toru Takemitsu, one of Japan's leading composers, who has transcended the boundaries of contemporary music to take on various experimental-oriented composers. Orchestral work conducted by Mitsuru Hayashi and Tokyo Concerts. The compositions are full of Takemitsu's characteristic nostalgia and emotion, interspersed with elements of oriental music and tango, and invite you to an exotic land with beautiful orchestrations. Even if you have never heard Takemitsu's film music before, the fact that you feel nostalgia for it is very strange. Highly recommended.
