An album released in 1973 by German guitarist Volker Kriegel, known for his work with Passport and the United Jazz + Rock Ensemble. The lineup includes musicians familiar from the ECM scene: Stan Sulzman (ss, fl), Zbigniew Seifert(violin), John Taylor (electric piano), Eberhard Weber (bass, cello), Cees See (percussion), and John Marshall(drums). In Germany at the time—especially in Munich and Düsseldorf—many landmark recordings were being made in which jazz musicians ventured into rock-oriented approaches. This album falls squarely within that lineage, delivering superb psychedelic avant–jazz-rock that connects with works such as Mal Waldron’s classic The Call, Wolfgang Dauner’s Et Cetera (also featuring Weber), and Mani Neumeier’s Guru Guru. This is a late-1970s reissue from Germany.
