Yosuke Yamashita, Japan's world-famous free jazz pianist with many anecdotes to his name, including playing inside the barricades of Waseda University during the student movement, collaborated with German jazz bassist Adelhard Roidinger on this masterpiece album released in 1977. The album was recorded in Tokyo with Roidinger, who had come to Japan with the Yosuke Yamashita Trio just one month after the release of "Inner Space" with Roidinger on enja in the same year. In addition to the duo performance with Roidinger, the album also features a trio performance with drummer Shota Koyama. The title track of side A, which lasts 18 minutes and 33 seconds, has a flood of beautiful melodies, not to mention Yosuke Yamashita's piano, but Roidinger's bass is just amazing. The bass solo track on B1 is also a real treat.
