This debut album, released in 1986 by Japanese flutist Yumi Yamagata, who is one of the few disciples of James Goldway, known as the world's top flutist, and has performed with many orchestras. It features neo-classical music, performing pieces by composers such as Drederic Niobey, Claude Debussy, Fredelic Chopin, Maurice Ravel, as well as medieval classical music by Mozart and Bach, all arranged with a New Age flair. The soft reverb on the flute's tone resonates gently. The album also includes a rendition of Erik Satie's famous piece "Gymnopedie."
