Second album by Ken Hyder's Talisker, a group led by drummer Ken Hyder, released in 1977 on ECM-affiliated jazz label JAPO. Featuring mixed male and female singers, the album expresses a unique worldview where Ken Hyder's dynamic drumming is primitively intertwined with abstract vocals. The spiritual and force-world approach, which fuses jazz with Celtic folk music and African music from his native Scotland, is a unique line among the many ethnic-oriented jazz tracks that remain on ECM/JAPO.
