sleeve : EX(some small and slightly dirts.)

An album released in 1957 by the American saxophonist Lee Konitz, who enjoyed a long and illustrious career from the early 1950s to the 2000s. The A-side features a piano-less quartet with Billy Bauer (g), Arnold Fishkind (b), and Dick Scott (ds), while the B-side showcases a quartet with Sal Mosca (p), Peter Ind (b), and Dick Scott (ds). The album was recorded by Rudy Van Gelder. Throughout the album, Konitz's soft alto saxophone playing in the high register is pleasant and soothing, exemplified by the laid-back blues of A4 and the light and breezy groove of B4. The performances exude a refreshing coolness that epitomizes cool jazz. This is a Japanese reissue in 1992 as part of the "Atlantic Jazz Collection" series by MMG.
