A very interesting record has just arrived. This album was released in 1975 and was produced by Carl Orff and Gunild Keetman, two German composers active in the field of educational music since the 1950s. As the title suggests, the album contains songs on the theme of "street music," and the contents offer a pleasurable, stateless music with a somewhat exotic melody played by instruments such as recorders, xylophones, flutes, and drums. The cover photo of children and women holding instruments is very nice and rustic, but these people do not seem to be playing the music.
