This is an album released in 1987 by David Mingyie Liang, a performer of the guzheng, a traditional Chinese string instrument. As the title "Chinese Meditation Music" suggests, it showcases New Age meditation music rich in ethnic flavor, blending various traditional Chinese instruments, including the guzheng, with electronic elements from synthesizers. Delicate synthesizer pads gently weave harmonious chords, while the primitive yet gentle melodies of the bamboo flute float softly through the space, creating a soundscape reminiscent of a traditional Chinese landscape painting. It’s an incredibly beautiful sound. Highly recommended.
